STIMULATING COLLAGEN PRODUCTION

What is Microneedling Treatments?

MicroNeedling is a minimally invasive procedure using a device containing multiple fine needles that are applied to the skin in various methods. It works by creating controlled micro-injuries to the skin. This stimulates the skin’s repair process to naturally create collagen and elastin, perfect for softening fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, and stretch marks. Micro-channels produced by the treatment allow for the best possible absorption of topical products like Hyaluronic Acid and Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP), increasing their effects in the deeper layers of skin.

How does Microneedling Treatments work?

MicroNeedling works by encouraging your skin to make more collagen. The Microneedling device penetrates the skin causing localized cell damage. This stimulates the skin’s natural repair process, boosts collagen production, begins the healing process, and increases cell turnover. The result is softened fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, and stretch marks.

Micro-needling with or without PRP improves fine lines and wrinkles, reduces acne scars, softens stretch marks, and reduces appearance of pores.

What is a micro-needling facial?

Micro-needling involves rapidly piercing the skin with tiny microneedles. This stimulates collagen production in the skin, begins the healing process, and increases cell turnover. It is also known as skin needling or Percutaneous Collagen Induction.

How does micro-needling work?

Our highly skilled medical professionals use a medical-grade micro-needling device that therapeutically penetrates the skin, causing localized damage and some bleeding. This stimulates the infiltration of fibroblasts, which lead to elastic and collagen production. Receptor sites are created for a variety of different serums to be absorbed.

What is micro-needling used for?

Micro-needling helps tighten skin and improve its texture by decreasing fine lines and wrinkles. The depth of acne scars can be reduced with a series of treatments. Micro-needling can reinvigorate your skin by improving circulation, allowing for bright, radiant skin! It can also be used to help decrease the appearance of stretch marks or hyperpigmentation issues, including melasma.

Who is the ideal candidate for micro-needling?

Individuals that want to treat acne scarring and/or mild to moderate skin laxity, also known as “sagginess.” All skin types can be treated with micro-needling, even skin that has sun damage or dark spots! Micro-needling is quick and has amazing results! It is used as an alternative to laser resurfacing treatments, which can require longer recovery times.

Who cannot receive a micro-needling treatment?

Individuals with certain conditions cannot receive micro-needling. This includes individuals with hemophilia, certain skin diseases, eczema, autoimmune disorders, certain allergies, cancer, or keloid issues. Our highly skilled medical professionals can address any questions or concerns that you may have!

Is micro-needling painful?

One of our highly trained medical professionals will apply medical-grade numbing cream to the site. This will remove most of the sensation in the area! The pen will move across the skin quickly and may feel a little prickly, but it will not be painful or uncomfortable.

How long does it take for the treatment?

It will take about 30 minutes for the numbing cream to work and the treatment takes an additional 15 to 30 minutes. The amount of time can vary depending upon the target area and skin thickness. The average total time is usually an hour.

What kind of results can I expect?

One of our highly skilled medical professionals will numb the site and begin your treatment with artful precision. Skin in the treatment area will become noticeably tighter, brighter, and smoother after just one treatment! Scars, fine lines, and wrinkles become less noticeable while the skin tone becomes more even. You will love the “glow” and showing off your radiant skin!

Will I need time to recover?

A minimal amount of recovery time is needed. During your treatment, you will most likely have some pinpoint bleeding that will stop quickly. After your treatment, you will initially have pink, sensitive skin that will resolve in a few days, revealing the soft, radiant skin underneath! We recommend that you avoid prolonged sun exposure, strenuous exercise, hot showers, hot tubs, saunas, and baths for at least 1 weeks after treatment.

How many treatments will I need to get?

The number of treatments depends on the condition of the skin at the time of treatment. Individuals typically receive anywhere from 6 to 10 treatments in order to dramatically improve their complexion. If you are just trying to tone or tighten the skin, you will most likely need 6 treatments, while those trying to reduce scarring may require at least 8 to 10 treatments.

How often can I get a micro-needling treatment?

Treatments should be between 4 to 6 weeks apart. Your face needs to heal in between sessions, but it is also important to get regular treatments in order to maximize collagen and elastin production. Our skilled medical professionals will help you come up with a schedule to get maximum result in the least time possible!
