How long does waxing take?
Waxing typically takes 15-30 minutes depending on the location.
Do waxing treatments hurt?
There is temporary discomfort when the waxing strips are removed. All of your hairs will be removed by the root which can be shocking. The discomfort decreases with each treatment as the number of hairs decrease, and the hair becomes less coarse.
If I want my bikini area waxed, can it be during my time of the month?
We can definitely wax the area during that time; however, the area may be more sensitive, which can cause more discomfort during the procedure.
What is the difference between a bikini line, bikini full, and a Brazilian bikini wax?
Waxing the bikini line involves waxing the sides near your “panty line” so that hairs do not stick out. The bikini full wax allows you to remove all the hair from the front or keep a strip or triangle. A Brazilian wax removes all the hair from the front to the back as well as the buttocks.
What is a Manzilian?
A Manzilian is the male version of a Brazilian wax! Hair is removed from the male bikini area, scrotum, and butt crack.
Will I be completely smooth after my first wax?
No. It takes time for hair to grow back thin and soft. Typically you will notice smooth skin and soft, thin hairs after the 3rd wax. Since hair grows in three stages, scheduling a wax every 3 weeks will help decrease hair growth.
Will I need time to recover?
Do not get in the sauna, or tan for at least 12 hours after treatment. We recommend to stop using other methods of hair removal while you are waxing.
Won’t my hair grow back stronger and thicker if I wax?
No! Hormonal changes can affect the thickness and strength of our hair; however, waxing does not. Puberty and We all began to shave close to puberty, and the hormones surged at the same time. This caused our new hairs to grow thicker. Shaving always leaves a sharp hair while waxing pulls the hair out by the root, creating soft, finer hairs.
How long will my treatment last?
Waxing usually lasts about 4 weeks. You need to have at least 3 weeks of growth before your next treatment. The hair on the bikini areas, underarms, upper lip, and brows responds very well to waxing; however, the hair on the legs may take a few treatments to thin out. After each wax, your hair will get thinner and softer.
What are the side effects of waxing?
After the waxing is complete, you may have redness at the treatment area. The chest, back, and upper lip can have breakouts in the area, especially if you had ingrown hairs.
How long should I wait to get my next waxing?
Try to wait until the hair is about ¼ inch for the wax to properly attach to the hairs. Typically, we recommend treatment every 4 weeks to decrease discomfort and treatment time.
